Towne Pond is situated at the northern boundary of Boxford State Forest, not far from Lots One and Two. The Towne Pond website was created by Scott Roth in 2000-2003, who then resided at the pond. Along with other things, it contains photos of nearly 50 plants. Among them is Lupinus perennis, a watch-listed rare species (see NHESP Plant Watch List)
