This is the only find of ours for this coastal plant in the Blue Hills (Unquity Dumpster lower slope). It was never listed in the initial survey of this and other inland reservations (Deane 1896), even though there are quite a few historic records for it in inland Massachusetts, some reaching as far west as the Berkshires. At the same location, on the upper slope, we have documented a small patch of another coastal species (even more strictly coastal!), also otherwise missing from the Blue Hills: Hudsonia ericoides. Both could be adventive (introduced to BHR).
