Middlesex Fells Reservation, Medford
This species is believed to originate as a hybrid of crested and Goldie's fern, though now it exists independently from parent species. The tip of the frond is acuminate, like in Goldie's. Overall look is similar to crested fern, though it is larger and not ladder-like (pinnae aren't horizontal). Identified by Don Lubin, Ray Abair
