Found at the unfinished portion of Rt. 95 continuation north of Rt. 128 in Canton. Spikelets are oriented sideways to the wavy stem. A single glume is shorter than spikelet (the other glume reduced), lemmas awned. This species has more than 10 florets in a spikelet, hence the epithet multiflorum . Introduced from Europe.
