Bracted flowering branchlets are somewhat similar to those of dangleberry ( G. frondosa ), but leaves are generally smaller, thicker, each with a distinctive sharp point (mucro) at the summit. Also, we found dwarf huckleberry in a much wetter habitat than that of dangleberry or huckleberry ( G. baccata ).
