August 22, Arnold Arboretum, Jamaica Plain, Boston
This is a cultivated plant representing two-colored bushclover at the Arnold Arboretum. Our photographs "from the wild" (Myles Standish SF) don't show the habit of the plant as nicely as this because two-colored bushclover typically occurs in maintained fields of wildlife management areas of MSSF, where it has been deliberately introduced and is being regularly mowed over. Plants are thus much lower, their stems not nearly as mature as this.
