This mint has a broad natural range in North America and East Asia (where it is known as Chinese, Japanese, or East Asian mint). Besides, it has been introduced to literally all other continents/parts of the world (except only Antarctica?) as a cultivated plant and never reported as invasive from anywhere within its vast secondary range!
