Morison's spurry seed are usually dark brown, but sometimes light-colored. The critical character is not the color, but rather the wing width. In the spring of 2015, we decided to check all spurry locations known to us within an easy reach. We checked Tom Palmer's original location in Quincy/Randolph (on two sides of Rt. 28, at the border of the Blue Hills Reservation) and 6 different locations in Plymouth County: 4 within Myles Standish State Forest (in both Carver and Plymouth), yet another population in Plymouth (on Tidmarsh Farms land), and one in Rochester.
