Recently, it has become doubtful whether this grass is introduced or native in western Massachusetts; therefore it has joined the Watch List. It is no doubt introduced in the eastern part of the state. Photographed in a managed field (one of many mowed fields managed for hunting) off Three-Cornered Pond Rd. (West). Must have been introduced to the Forest with some "prairie mix."
