Ovaries glabrous, petals long, young leaves red (characters making plants look like A. laevis). On the other hand, leaves hairy at time of flowering, inflorescences not drooping, rather upright (characters making it different from A. laevis). About a dozen scattered small trees within a certain area in Myles Standish SF. (Tree # 6)
