Another subpopulation was found not far (0.95 mi or 1.5 km) from the one on the powerline, in a pristine Myles Standish SF setting, a frost pocket, with Amelanchier stolonifera. The leaves are rather stout, shiny; young branchlets pubescent even late in the season.
