See those clustered white dots in water? Fanwort reveals itself in East Head Reservoir, in front of watershield, water lily, and flowering horned bladderwort (forming yellow patches at the island). Don't think there is just one or two small patches: most of Carolina fanwort is hidden under water, not flowering, so we don't notice its presence.
