Flower of blue cohosh consists of 6 showy petaloid sepals (in this case colored greenish yellow); 6 tiny fan-shaped nectariferous petals; 6 stamens, their filaments up to 1.5 mm long (vs. 1.5-2.5 mm in C. giganteum); and a bladder-like ovary.
