Wherever any construction takes place within/close to natural habitats, invasive plants are introduced with the disturbance. Japanese knotweed showed up in 2015, after construction of a condominium complex at the very border of a small wetland harboring New York ironweed and a rare iris. View of the narrow shrubby border, now with Japanese knotweed.
