Rounded (terete) petioles and divergent lobes of leaf blade (lobes at about the right angle to each other). Petioles upright, leaves high above water level. Leave blades in vertical position parallel to petioles. Deliberate introduction to Black's Nook, a pondlet north of Fresh Pond.
