An European species not included in the Massachusetts Checklist (2011): it has not been known as naturalized in Massachusetts. The 'Flora of North America' describes it as frequently planted in North America and persisting long after other signs of human development disappear, but infrequently escaping and thus not naturalized. Cultivated in this park.
