A couple saplings found immediately upslope from Access Road to the Great Blue Hill. Later an entire young grove found downslope from the same road. Striped maple is uncommon in southeastern Massachusetts. No one knows for sure if it is native to Norfolk County, where the Blue Hills Reservation is situated.
