These flowers are upright--not nodding as they usually are, thus resembling glory-of-the-snow. Yet their tepals are essentially distinct (connate only at the very origin), which makes Siberian squill different from glory-of-the-snow, whose tepals are connate along significant part of their length--up to one-third.
