Cottonwood can reach the height of 50 m and more. This is a tree of river banks and bottomlands. It is native in western Massachusetts, and in the eastern part it was introduced very early and is now naturalized. This poplar stands on Burma Road in the Neponset River valley. Photo 1 of 2
