American holly records are not known for Middlesex County (where Sudbury belongs). If this plant is considered native (not an escapee from cultivation), this would be the northernmost point of the species geographic area; another questionable find is in Medford (also Middlesex County). Otherwise, the natural limit is in Norfolk County, MA (Weymouth/Abington/Holbrook).
