Often times poison ivy just crawls. However, as a typical vine, it never hesitates to climb--if there is anything at all to climb upon. When it reaches the highest possible point, it celebrates the achievement by producing a vigorous crown of short spreading branches. This bouquet is decorating the top of the large rock facing Turtle Pond.
