According to FNA, leaf margins in U. rubra are doubly serrate only in distal 1/2-3/4, singly serrate proximally, basal teeth rounded, less distinct; apex acuminate. These leaves are uniformly doubly serrate all along margins, their apices short acuminate to acute.
